bookmarkify is a Chrome extension and web dashboard that keeps a team's shared bookmark folders in sync, plus keyboard tools to switch between and close tabs. This page explains what data it handles and why.
What we store on our server
- Your Google account basics — name, email address and profile picture, received when you sign in with Google. Used to identify you and show who added a bookmark.
- Shared team bookmarks — the title, URL, folder and favicon of bookmarks you put in a team folder, plus team names, members and invite codes.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in.
What stays on your device
Your personal bookmarks (outside team folders), your open tabs, tab thumbnails and the usage scores the tab switcher uses to sort tabs never leave your browser. They are used locally by the extension only, and tab data lives in memory.
What we don't do
- No browsing history collection, no analytics, no ads, no tracking.
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties.
- Data is only used to provide the bookmark sync feature.
Where it lives
On a server in Germany (EU), in a PostgreSQL database that is not exposed to the internet. Sign-in is handled with Google OAuth; we never see your Google password.
Your choices
Leave a team or delete bookmarks at any time from the extension or the dashboard. To delete your account and everything attached to it, email merzouke.mansouri.m14i@gmail.com and it will be done within 30 days.
